In preparation for an avocation to follow her 32 year civil service career, Vera became a nationally certified massage therapist and Reiki master in March of 2004. Graduating from the National Massage Therapy Institute in Falls Church, Virginia, Vera honed her massage therapy skills working with clients throughout the Northern Virginia area.
As an avid learner, she continually pursues studies to compliment her massage therapy practice while enhancing her self-developmental interests in alternative therapies and Japanese heritage. Among these studies are Lypossage (a specfic blend of massage modalities that include deep lymphatic drainage and deep tissue release), aromatherapy, reflexology, and Reiki.
'I enjoy sharing with others what I've learned and experienced. My hope is that it will allow clients to not only feel better, but also to encourage them in life's journey.'
Now that Vera is formally retired from her civil service career, she is very excited to be a part of the Pinecrest Wellness team; providing relief, corrective, and wellness care to our patients.
