Massage Therapy

Massage therapy involves manipulation techniques performed on the superficial and deeper layers of muscle and soft tissues depending on your needs and physical condition. The application of these techniques may include, but is not limited to stroking, kneading, tapping, compression, vibration, rocking, friction, and pressure to the body. Massage therapy enhances function of the body, aids the healing process, decreases muscle reflex activity, and promotes relaxation and well-being. Some of the health benefits from massage therapy include:

  • Alleviates pain and improves range of motion
  • Exercises and stretches weak and tight muscles
  • Relaxes and softens injured, tired, and overused muscles
  • Relieves migraine pain
  • Reduces spasms and cramping
  • Lessens depression and anxiety
  • Decreases stress physically and emotionally
  • Stimulates flow of the body’s lymphatic system
  • Releases endorphins and improves blood flow throughout the tissue

Reviews By Our Satisfied Patients

  • "I first came to Pinecrest Wellness center due to chronic hip and knee pain. Since my first visit I return because the treatment I get works much better than traditional medical care. I tell my family and friends that the care at Pinecrest is excellent, the costs are better than hospitals and private care doctors. The staff is very professional and caring."
